Hidden with Christ

Verse

"For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." Colossians 3:3

Teaching

Paul says your life is hidden, not exposed, lost, or abandoned. This is a powerful truth for identity. Your deepest life is not hidden in people's opinions, your past, your performance, your failures, or your present circumstances. It is hidden with Christ in God.

This means your true identity is protected by divine union. What God has joined to Christ cannot be defined by the changing judgments of men. The world may see your weaknesses, but God sees you in His Son. Others may remember your history, but God sees your redemption. People may evaluate you according to your present condition, but God sees you according to His eternal purpose.

To be hidden with Christ is not to be concealed from God but to be secured in God. Your life is wrapped up in Christ's righteousness, Christ's acceptance, Christ's victory, and Christ's relationship with the Father. The enemy cannot redefine what God has already declared. The opinions of others cannot cancel what God has established.

Today, stop living as though every criticism can destroy you and every rejection can reduce you. Stop measuring your worth by your achievements, your failures, or the approval of those around you. Your life is deeper than what people can see and even deeper than what you can presently understand about yourself.

The hidden life is a secure life. It is a life rooted in Christ rather than in circumstances, anchored in God's love rather than in human acceptance, and established in eternal realities rather than in temporary experiences. Rest in the confidence that your identity is not something you must create, defend, or prove. It has already been secured in Christ.

Quote

Security begins where self-defence ends
