Look Out for Others

Verse

"Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others." Philippians 2:4

Teaching

Paul does not forbid personal responsibility; he forbids selfish blindness. Kingdom life expands the field of vision. The mature believer does not only ask, "How am I doing?" but also, "Who around me needs strength?" Many burdens remain heavy because no one looked long enough to see them. Today, let love make you observant. Look out for someone else's interest in a practical way. Sometimes discipleship begins with attention.

Quote

Love notices what selfishness overlooks.

Instruction

Ask one person a thoughtful question about their burden, need, dream, or pressure. Listen without turning the conversation back to yourself.
