My Words Abide in You

Verse

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:7

Teaching

Abiding reshapes desire and unlocks faith and spiritual authority. Jesus connects answered prayer to two things: you abiding in Him, and His words abiding in you. This means true prayer is not arm-wrestling God, but finding the alignment that opens the possibility of unlimited answers. When the Word lives inside you, your desires begin to carry the shape of God’s heart. You stop praying amiss, and become an embodiment of God’s will. You stop praying from panic and instead pray from union. Let the Word give language to your asking.

Quote

“Prayer becomes powerful when desire is shaped by the Word.”

Instruction

Consider an area of unanswered prayer in your life, which could be because of asking amiss. Practice redefining this request by viewing it in the Word of God and in a way that the Word of God would inhabit it. Consider how God and others would benefit through that prayer being answered. Now, believe God afresh from this new position.
