Without Me You Can Do Nothing
Verse
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
Teaching
The branch has no independent life. This is not an insult; it is a revelation. Jesus is not saying you cannot be busy without Him. He is saying you cannot produce eternal fruit without Him.
It’s important to note that it is us in Him and Him in us. This mutual inhabitation is secure on God’s side but can wobble on ours. His presence in us helps us draw us in to remain. Kingdom fruit requires divine life and presence, and He has said He will never leave us or forsake us. Today, thank God for his abiding presence and renounce the pride of doing life alone. Dependence is not weakness; it is alignment with God’s loving will.

Write down the areas where you have been relying on effort without dependence. Repent of self-sufficiency and invite Christ into your work, ministry, family, finances, and decisions.
