Casting Down Arguments

Verse

Vs 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself (2 Corinthians 10:5)

Teaching

An argument is a verbal exchange in which two or more people express opposing views or ideas. Satan's very first attack on Adam and Eve was an argument against what God had instructed them to do and not do. Eve fell because she did not argue back. You should never allow thoughts and ideas contrary to God's word to freely traverse your mind unchallenged.
When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, satan brought arguments about his appetite, ambitions and authority, and each time Jesus argued back with what the scriptures teach. Finally Satan left him because Jesus did not take the assault lying down.
For Eve and Jesus it would seem like Satan was visible to them as he spoke.

For us daily, this voice features as thoughts, feelings and beliefs. You should determine that you will pull down every argument against God's goodness until it is completely silenced.
