God Is Your Strength
Verse
"The LORD God is my strength." Habakkuk 3:19
Teaching
Habakkuk does not finish by claiming that he has become naturally strong. He says God is his strength. There is freedom in knowing that the Christian life is not sustained by an endless supply of personal energy. Responsibilities, disappointment, opposition, uncertainty, and prolonged pressure can expose how limited human strength really is. God does not shame us for reaching our limits; He invites us to discover another source. Depending on God does not remove practical responsibility. It changes where the strength for that responsibility comes from. Instead of repeatedly saying, 'I must somehow find more within myself,' faith learns to say, 'Lord, supply what this assignment requires.' God can strengthen you for what He has genuinely called you to carry.
Quote
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
- The Sons of Korah (Psalm 46:1)
Instruction
Name the responsibility that is draining you most. Before working on it today, consciously ask God for strength, wisdom, and grace specifically for that assignment.
