Words Reveal the Heart
Verse
"Out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks." Luke 6:45
Teaching
Words are not isolated accidents; they often reveal what has been stored within. Pressure brings hidden resentment, fear, pride, gratitude, faith, or compassion toward the surface. Managing vocabulary alone will not heal the source. Jesus directs attention to the treasure of the heart. What have you repeatedly watched, rehearsed, believed, or resented? What enters and remains within eventually shapes the tone of your speech. Ask God to replace corrupt stores with truth and grace. Then take responsibility when harmful words escape. Apologise plainly, repair what you can, and begin filling the heart with what you want the mouth to carry.
Quote
"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight."
- King David (Psalm 19:14)
Instruction
Notice one repeated pattern in your speech. Trace it to a heart attitude, confess it, and deliberately speak a truthful alternative.
