Through the Valley

Verse

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me." Psalm 23:4

Teaching

The psalm does not promise a life without valleys. It promises that the valley is travelled in the Shepherd's company. David says, 'I walk through'; the dark place is a passage, not an identity or permanent address. Fear may still speak, but it does not have to command your next step. God's presence does not always remove the threatening landscape immediately. It gives courage within it. The Shepherd already knows the way through terrain you have never crossed.

Quote

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you."
- The LORD (Isaiah 43:2)

Instruction

Describe your present valley in one sentence. Then write beneath it, 'You are with me,' and take the next faithful step.
