Paths of Righteousness

"He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake." Psalm 23:3

The Shepherd's path is right even when it is not the easiest route. Righteousness is not only avoiding obvious sin; it is choosing what agrees with God's character in decisions, relationships, money, speech, and private conduct. His guidance protects both your life and His name, because those who belong to Him represent Him. When several options are open, the right question is not simply, 'Which one benefits me most?' Ask which path allows you to walk truthfully, love faithfully, and keep a clear conscience. Trust the Shepherd enough to choose integrity, especially when compromise appears quicker or more rewarding.
