Run Toward the Battle

Verse

"David hurried and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine." 1 Samuel 17:48

Teaching

Once David had discerned the battle and settled his confidence in God, he moved without prolonged hesitation. Delay often allows fear to rebuild the giant in the mind. Running toward the battle does not mean acting recklessly or ignoring wisdom. It means refusing to remain paralysed after God has made the next step clear. Courage becomes visible in movement. The conversation must be held, the application submitted, the apology offered, the habit confronted, or the assignment begun. Faith does not wait for every feeling of fear to disappear before obeying.

Quote

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage... for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
- The LORD (Joshua 1:9)

Instruction

Choose one action you have delayed because of fear. Take the first concrete step today before anxiety has time to create another excuse.
