The Spirit of Adoption

Verse

"...you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, Abba, Father." Romans 8:15

Teaching

The Spirit does not only empower ministry; He establishes belonging. Fear makes servants perform for acceptance, but adoption teaches sons and daughters to live from acceptance. Paul says we cry, "Abba, Father," because the Spirit gives language to intimacy. Many believers can talk about God as King but struggle to receive Him as Father. Today, let the Spirit heal the place in you that expects rejection, distance, or punishment. You are not standing outside the house begging for scraps. You are received in the Father's love.

Quote

The orphan strives for access; the child cries, Father.

Instruction

Spend 15 minutes praying to God as Father. Do not only ask for things; receive His love, nearness, correction, and covering.
