Prove the Will of God

Verse

that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Rom 12:2)

Teaching

To prove is to confirm something to be true by presenting evidence. When we stand in the wrong place, everything can look off. Only while on the altar of self-sacrifice can practices like prayer, giving, forgiving, and fasting look and feel right. There are many arguments all around you questioning God’s ordained path for you. You will not find God’s will for you by pursuing the path of least resistance. It is through being convinced that He is good, regardless of the circumstances, that we surrender. Then, there on the altar, we can properly discern His will and process for our lives. His will always ticks the three boxes of ‘good ’ and ‘acceptable’. and ‘perfect’.

Quote

“The will of God is not discovered by panic; it is discerned through surrender.”

Instruction

Ask God for clarity concerning one decision. Imagine three boxes in your mind and ask yourself if it passes the ‘Good, Acceptable, Perfect’ test.
