One Body, Many Gifts

Verse

“For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function… having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them…” Romans 12:4–8

Teaching

Renewal ends in service. God does not renew your mind so that you can admire your own growth. He renews you so that you can function in the body. Every gift carries responsibility. Prophecy must speak. Service must serve. Teaching must teach. Encouragement must lift. Giving must release. Leadership must lead. Mercy must move. Today, do not bury grace. Use what God gave you, and the body will be strengthened and blessed. Service can begin in simple roles and duties on the church rota, but must end in roles where the gifts and graces given uniquely to you by God are discovered, developed and deployed.

Quote

“Grace unused becomes frustration; grace released becomes ministry.”

Instruction

Review the week. Identify one gift, grace, or function God has placed in you. Use it today to serve someone, strengthen the church, encourage a believer, or bless your household.
