Fight for What Matters
Verse
"Fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses." Nehemiah 4:14
Teaching
The rebuilding was larger than personal success. Families, worship, community, and future generations were connected to the wall. Meaningful work often requires endurance because something beyond personal comfort is at stake. Nehemiah reminded the people who would benefit from their courage. When motivation weakens, remember the people your obedience protects, serves, teaches, or prepares. Fight does not mean violence or hostility; it means steadfast resistance against everything seeking to destroy what God has entrusted to you. Purpose gives strength to perseverance.
