Anointed and Overflowing

Verse

"You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over." Psalm 23:5

Teaching

The Shepherd's care moves beyond survival into consecration and abundance. Oil was associated with welcome, healing, and being set apart for God's purpose. The overflowing cup does not promise endless possessions; it speaks of grace that is greater than the vessel receiving it. God gives comfort that can be shared, wisdom that can guide others, and strength that can serve beyond personal need. Scarcity makes the heart close around what it has. Gratitude opens the eyes to what is already overflowing. Ask where God's grace has exceeded your immediate requirement. It becomes a resource for encouragement, generosity, ministry, and worship.

Quote

"Of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace."
- The Apostle John (John 1:16)
