Led by the Spirit
Verse
"But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law." (Galatians 5:18)
Teaching
The Holy Spirit is not merely a comforter; He is a guide. Guidance is often less dramatic than people expect. We imagine lightning bolts and audible voices while God frequently leads through conviction, wisdom, Scripture, peace, and gentle promptings. The Spirit is interested in directing ordinary life as much as extraordinary moments. Learn to recognise His leadership in small things. The person who obeys God in little matters becomes capable of recognising Him in greater matters.
Walking with the Spirit is therefore not primarily about seeking spectacular experiences but cultivating daily sensitivity. The more consistently you respond to His promptings, the more clearly you learn to recognise His voice. Guidance grows through relationship. As you spend time in God's presence, meditate on His Word, and practise obedience, your heart becomes increasingly attuned to His direction. Often the safest path is not found through dramatic revelation but through a steady habit of listening and following one step at a time.
Quote
"The Spirit usually guides moving feet, not parked vehicles."
Instruction
Ask God to highlight one step of obedience today. Do it immediately when you sense His leading.
