Nothing Through Selfish Ambition

Verse

"Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit..." Philippians 2:3

Teaching

The same work can be holy or polluted depending on the motive behind it. Selfish ambition can dress itself in ministry language, excellence, leadership, and sacrifice, but its centre is still self. Conceit needs comparison in order to feel alive. Paul calls believers to a deeper way. Today, allow the Spirit to examine why you do what you do. The Lord does not only weigh outcomes; He weighs hearts. A purified motive releases peace into the work.

Quote

Motive is the hidden altar behind every action.

Instruction

Before acting today, ask: "Is this being driven by love, obedience, or the need to be seen?" Purify one motive in prayer.
