Understand the Real Battle

Verse

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age…” Ephesians 6:12

Teaching

The mature believer knows where the battle truly is. Flesh and blood may cooperate with darkness, but flesh and blood is not your final enemy. If you fight only people, you will become bitter and multiply conflicts around you. It is actually a relief to know that the people who betray, wound, and victimise us are not the point... a more sinister plot is hatched long after they have walked away. If you discern the spirit behind the pressure, you will become strategic. Today, forgive people, resist the devil, come up higher and refuse to become a victim. Remember that you can never be as rejected, betrayed and wounded as much as Jesus was for you. Your warfare must be spiritual, not carnal.

Quote

“Discernment begins when you stop mistaking people for the real enemy.”

Instruction

Make a list of people you have been fighting emotionally. Release them in prayer. Then ask God to show you the spiritual agenda and pattern behind the human conflict. What exactly is the real enemy up to?
