Respect God's Timing

Verse

"Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come." Habakkuk 2:3

Teaching

One of faith's greatest tests is not whether we believe God can act, but whether we can trust Him when He has not acted yet. Delay creates pressure to interfere, force doors open, manipulate circumstances, or settle for substitutes. Habakkuk learned that what God had appointed possessed its own timing. Waiting does not mean neglecting responsibility. It means refusing to move outside God's wisdom simply because impatience has become uncomfortable. Some things develop slowly because God is preparing circumstances; other times He is preparing us. The calendar does not determine God's faithfulness. When timing belongs to Him, impatience must not become your counsellor. Continue doing what is right while leaving what you cannot control in His hands.

Quote

"You have need of endurance."
- The Writer of Hebrews (Hebrews 10:36)

Instruction

Identify one situation you have been trying to hurry. Ask yourself, 'What is mine to do, and what belongs to God?' Do what is yours faithfully and stop trying to force what is His.
