Build on the Rock
Verse
"He dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock." Luke 6:48
Teaching
Jesus ends His teaching by distinguishing between hearing and doing. Both builders heard, and both faced a flood. The difference was the foundation formed through obedience. A life can admire Jesus' words while remaining structurally unchanged. Digging deep takes time because habits, decisions, relationships, and priorities must be brought under His teaching. Storms eventually reveal what applause and appearance can hide. Review this week without asking only what inspired you. Ask what you practised. Every command obeyed becomes part of a stable foundation. Put one teaching of Jesus into action before moving to the next lesson.
