Led into Rest

Rest is part of the Shepherd's leadership. We often imagine that God only leads through activity, urgency, and visible progress, yet Psalm 23 includes lying down and quiet water. A hurried soul can resist the very rest God provides because stillness feels unproductive. Biblical rest is not laziness. It is the decision to stop carrying life as though everything depends on you. The Shepherd knows when strength must be renewed before the journey continues. Let Him interrupt the pressure to prove yourself. Still waters become a place of trust when you allow God to quiet what constant motion has stirred.
