Guard Your Heart
Verse
"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life." Proverbs 4:23
Teaching
The heart is the inner source from which thoughts, motives, desires, reactions, and decisions flow. Guarding it is not emotional isolation; it is wise stewardship of what enters, remains, and grows within. Unchecked offence, envy, fear, lust, pride, or bitterness eventually finds expression. In the same way, truth, gratitude, worship, and love also produce visible fruit. Diligence is required because the heart can drift quietly before behaviour changes openly. Today, examine the inner spring rather than only managing the outward symptoms.
Quote
"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
- King David (Psalm 51:10)
Instruction
Ask God to search your heart. Write down one attitude that needs removal and one truth or practice that should replace it.
