Truth And Righteousness
Verse
“Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness…” Ephesians 6:14
Teaching
Truth stabilises your life; righteousness protects the heart. A belt held a soldier’s garments together so he could move freely in battle. Lies create loose places in the soul. The breastplate covered vital organs; righteousness protects the inner life from accusation, shame, and corruption. Today, do not merely know the truth — wear it. Do not merely admire righteousness — practise it. A truthful and righteous person becomes difficult for darkness to manipulate. Remember that the foundation of God’s throne is righteousness and truth (Psalm 89:14). That would imply that satan rules through lies and unrighteousness. Hold fast to God’s word; always be conscious of the righteousness of God given to you by grace; bring your body and mind into alignment with Christ, remembering that he is ‘the truth’ and ‘your righteousness’. (Jn 14:6/1 Cor 1:30)

Instruction
Embrace truth today where you have been hiding, exaggerating, pretending, or agreeing with lies. Then guard your heart by choosing righteousness in one specific decision.
