Pray and Keep Building
Verse
"Hear, O our God, for we are despised... So we built the wall." Nehemiah 4:4, 6
Teaching
Nehemiah prayed, and the people continued building. Prayer was not an escape from responsibility; it kept the work aligned with God while their hands remained active. Some people work without prayer and become self-reliant. Others pray without acting and call delay dependence. Nehemiah joined intercession and effort. The heart brought the opposition to God, and the hands returned to the assignment. When pressure rises, resist the temptation either to panic or to become passive. Pray honestly, then do the next piece of faithful work.
