Give Honour

Verse

"In honor giving preference to one another." Romans 12:10

Teaching

Honour means recognising the value God has placed in others and treating them with respect. It does not mean trusting everyone equally or ignoring wrong behaviour. It means refusing to look down on others, compete unnecessarily, or always put ourselves first. We show honour by listening to others, appreciating their contributions, giving them opportunities, and recognising their good work. Honour is especially important when dealing with people who may have less influence or status than we do. When we are secure in God's love, we can celebrate others, show gratitude, and give them room to grow without feeling that we are losing our own place.

Quote

"In lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself."
- The Apostle Paul (Philippians 2:3)

Instruction

Thank one person whose service is often unnoticed. Name the specific contribution and honour them without drawing attention to yourself.
